01
Initial setup
- Upload the theme ZIP in Online Store → Themes and keep the theme unpublished while configuring it.
- Open the theme editor and add your logo, favicon, colors, and typography under Theme settings.
- Choose menus in Header and Footer, then select collections and products for homepage sections.
- Preview product, collection, search, cart, account, blog, contact, password, and 404 templates on desktop and mobile.
- Duplicate the configured theme before editing code or installing an app that changes theme files.
02
Brand and design
Under Brand, upload a logo and favicon. If no logo is selected, Popline uses the text logo or store name. Under Colors, configure background/text, accent background/text, and panel background/text as readable pairs.
Choose Shopify-hosted fonts under Typography. Layout controls include page width, border width, product image fit, and optional second-image hover.
03
Build the homepage
Use Image with text for a campaign opener, Featured products for a selected collection, Image gallery for shoppable editorial imagery, and the brand statement or lookbook sections for collection storytelling. Sections can be added, removed, and reordered in the theme editor.
Set image focal points in Shopify. Use concise headings, descriptive link labels, and accurate alternative text where an image conveys information.
05
Products and discovery
The product template supports vendor, heading, price, variant picker, buy buttons, pickup availability, description, collapsible rows, Custom Liquid, and app blocks. Reorder these blocks to match the catalog.
- Options can use Shopify color or image swatches when configured in product data.
- Images, Shopify-hosted video, supported external video, and 3D models use native product media.
- Related and complementary items use Shopify product recommendations.
- Collection and search filters use Shopify's configured storefront filters.
- Predictive search includes the resource types enabled by the theme and store.
06
Cart and checkout
Customers can update quantities, remove items, and enter an order note on the cart page. Line-item properties, selling plans, discounts, taxes, and totals use Shopify's native calculations. Accelerated checkout appears where the store and selected product are eligible.
Gift-card products can collect recipient details. When recipient fields are active, customers use Add to cart so Shopify can validate and preserve those details.
07
Localization
Popline includes English and Indonesian storefront translations. Country and language forms use Shopify localization routes. Publish markets and languages in Shopify, then test prices, availability, routes, and content for every market you plan to serve.
08
App blocks and Custom Liquid
The main product, featured product, and Apps sections accept compatible app blocks. Install the app, add its block in the theme editor, save, reload, and test each supported product context. Custom Liquid is available for small merchant-authored integrations.
App behavior and accessibility remain the app developer's responsibility. Test the final combination before publishing.

Frequently asked questions
Why do collection filters not appear?
Configure storefront filters in Shopify and make sure products contain matching data. Available filters depend on the catalog and Shopify configuration.
Why are pickup, recommendations, or accelerated checkout absent?
These features require eligible products, locations, payments, and store settings. Review the feature configuration in Shopify and test an eligible product.
Why is a product or option unavailable?
Review inventory, sales-channel publication, market availability, and the selected option combination.
Are demo images included in the theme ZIP?
No. Store product photography is merchant data. Replace placeholders with images you own or are licensed to use.
Can I add an app?
Yes, when the app provides compatible app blocks. Test the app block in every product context where it will be used.
How should I prepare for an update?
Duplicate the live theme, install the new version as an unpublished theme, reproduce intentional code customizations, and test the duplicate before publishing.

Support scope
Theme support covers reproducible defects in unmodified Popline code and guidance for built-in settings. Custom development, third-party app configuration, store operations, and Shopify platform incidents fall outside standard theme support.
Include the store URL, affected page, expected result, actual result, reproduction steps, and screenshots when possible. Do not send passwords, payment details, customer data, private app tokens, or collaborator codes through the form.
Support email: ib4ngz@gmail.com. We aim to reply to theme support requests within two business days. Review the support data policy before submitting a ticket.
